Variational type inequality and simultaneous farthest points in banach space

Abstract

The purpose of the first part of this paper is to introduce and discuss variational type inequality in uniformly convex smooth Banach space. In the second part, we introduce simultaneous farthest points to a set in a normed linear space and obtain results on existence and uniqueness of such points.
