Fixed point Theorems for polynomial Contractions and almost polynomial Contractions in S-metric space

Abstract

In the present manuscript, our aim is to introduce the classes of polynomial and almost polynomial contractions in S-metric space. Two fixed point results are established for the classes of polynomial contractions: one for continuous mapping and another for non-continuous mapping.  Moreover, for the almost polynomial contractions, a fixed point result is established. An example is also provided to prove the validity of our results for the polynomial contractions.
