Abstract

In the current competitive and changing financial environment, banking institutions are always keen to enhance performance, openness, and strategic decision-making. The Iraqi banking industry is specifically faced with an interesting mix of issues due to prolonged political unrest, economic reforms, digitalization imperatives, and traditionally state-controlled financial institutions. Here, the use of advanced management practices like the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) has been more relevant as a tool of linking financial and non-financial performance measures with strategy .
