A Review on Advancement in Student Attendance System

Abstract

Attendance” and “Examination”, this expression, symbolizes “Remark” for every student in their college life. As this expression plays a crucial role for students in their life, parallelly, recording those attendance of students, is a momentous task for every college or teachers. Even though, we are diving as well as breathing in a Digitalized World, surprisingly, authorities are still crawling on “Pen and Paper” or “Traditional Process” for Recording Students Attendance. There are two ways to record attendance and they are Manual and Automated. Instead of Crawling in our education field, and focusing on advancements, various technologies have been researched, such as, RFID, Barcodes, Biometric, IOT Devices and also QR codes which have been successfully implemented to simplify the attendance process.This research paper aims to present a literature overview of the recent efforts on automated attendance systems.
