Abstract
This article explores the development of a Trishul-shaped antenna designed for wireless applications within the 1.7 to 2.69 GHz frequency range. The antenna features a robust multiband response, accommodating critical frequencies for various wireless technologies, including PCS, 5G, Wi-Fi, and Wi-MAX. It meets specific performance standards, such as a reflection coefficient below -10 dB. The antenna effectively supports 5G (n3 and n41), Wi-Fi, Wi-MAX, and PCS bands. The study examines the effects of DGS and split ring resonators, achieving a peak gain of 3.1 dBi and maximum radiation efficiency of approximately 84%. Even with a modest patch size, the measured and simulated results are strongly correlated.
