Regression Analysis of a Big Data Using Mathematical Modeling

Abstract

Regression analysis is a fundamental statistical methodology used to model and quantify relationships between dependent and independent variables through mathematical formulations. This study presents a theoretical overview of regression analysis using linear and generalized mathematical models. In this paper we discuss the various mathematical models for multiple regression analysis. The mathematical foundations highlight regression analysis as both an optimization problem and a probabilistic model, forming the basis for modern statistical learning and predictive analytics.
