Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionized a wide range of industries, from healthcare to finance to autonomous vehicles. However, the robustness and security of AI models, especially against adversarial attacks, remains a significant challenge. Adversarial attacks, where small, often imperceptible modifications to input data can lead AI models to make incorrect predictions, pose a growing threat to the reliability and trustworthiness of AI systems. This paper explores various approaches to securing AI models in adversarial environments, discusses the challenges associated with these techniques, and identifies areas for future research. We review the current state of adversarial defense strategies, including adversarial training, input preprocessing, robust optimization, and defense integration into AI system deployment. Additionally, we discuss the impact of adversarial attacks on model fairness, transparency, and accountability. This research provides insights into building more resilient AI models capable of withstanding adversarial threats and safeguarding their performance in real-world applications.
