Prospective Teachers Speak Out: Satisfaction on Digital Transformation on Learning Opportunities

Abstract

Digital transformation in education landscape  refers to the integration of digital technologies into all aspects of teaching, learning, and administration to enhance efficiency, accessibility and engagement. Teachers of 21st Century need to cultivate a culture of continuous learning to embrace the digital future .This study  addresses the prospective teachers view on digital transformation with respect to teachers , students and institutional support with respect to gender, discipline and previous experience on online learning  . Using survey technique, quantitative survey data with Stratified Random Sampling Technique were collected from 140 prospective teachers. For data analysis, t test and Pearson product correlation were employed to find the significant difference and  relationship among teachers , students and institutional support and satisfaction on digital transformation. Findings revealed that , Teachers are moderately satisfied with digital transformation, Students and Institutional support have progressive satisfaction on digital transformation. However,  quick adaptability of digital transformation and  lack of confidence in using digital technologies in teaching activities leads to modest contentment among teachers. This study contributes actionable recommendations to  teachers to participate in professional development programs  which helps teachers stay current with technological advancements, ensuring their teaching practices remain relevant and effective to met digital learning opportunities.
