Abstract
This work mainly reflects the emergence and development of the Naga cult in India. The article mainly discusses around the early development of the Naga worship in ancient India and how it developed into one of the most popular regional cult of Western Himalaya and with times how it expanded. This work also, however, discusses about the Naga cult often involves the worship of serpent deities and is deeply intertwined with the Pangwal tribal communities' way of life. The history of the Naga cult in Pangi Valley likely spans generations, with rituals, stories, and traditions passed down through oral history. Snake worship is one of the most ancient from of the worship in pangi valley.
